The magnum opus Aarambh seems to be expanding its horizon by roping in some really big stars.
After signing Rajniesh Duggall, Tanuja and southern starlet Karthika Nair, the makers have now got on board the beautiful and talented Madhoo.
The actress, who created magic with her charisma and acting chops in movies like Phool Aur Kaante, Roja, Diljale and more, will play a very powerful character in this historical tale.
Madhoo was earlier in talks to debut on TV with Parmeet Sethi, but the show never saw the light of day. And with this magnificent character, Madhoo will finally step into the world of small screen.
Shared a source, “Madhoo will be part of the Dravidan clan that followed the principles of a matriarchal society. Her character will be of a strong queen who would cross all boundaries to protect her kingdom and people. She will also be seen enacting some action scenes.”
The weekend series Aarambh will project the story of the clash between the Dravidans and Aryans. The historical based fantasy drama will launch on 24 June at the 9pm slot.
Apart from the above mentioned names, Aarambh also stars Tej Sapru, Vipul Gupta, Tarun Khanna and Hanssa Singh. Produced by Rose Audio Visuals, the finite series will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Goldie Behl.
We could not reach Madhoo for a comment while Producer Shristi Arya remained unavailable to comment.
