MUMBAI: Cinestar Ki Khoj was a reality show on Zee TV, where contestants used to come on the show and perform an act and compete with each other to become successful actors.

The show debuted in the year 2004, and many actors who are popular teleivison stars today have emerged from that show.

The show had its second run a few years back, but it wasn’t as successful as the first season.

1. Aditi Sharma

Aditi was the winner of the show, and post the victory, she has been part of many Bollywood filmd and television serials which have been huge successes. From Ladies Vs Ricky Behl to Mausam, the actress has done a lot of big-banner movies. But she rose to fame with her performance as Mauli in colors show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. Aditi also met her better half on this reality show, who was also the winner.

2. Sarwar Ahuja

Sarwar was the winner of the show, and he has been a part of many successful television serials like Jyoti. He met his wife Aditi on this reality show.

3. Himmanshoo A. Malhotra

Himmanshoo is one of the most popular faces of television. He also started his career as a contestant on this show. Post his stint in the show, he was seen in successful serials like Aapki Antra, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Airlines, and Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage. He was also seen in Bollywood in Wajah Tum Ho where he played a negative role and was applauded for his performance. He also met his wife Amruta on this show.

4. Amruta Khanvilkar

Amruta also was a contestant on the show and is a big name in the world of Marathi cinema. She as also done a few Bollywood movies like Malang and Raazi. She and Himmanshoo won the reality show Nach Baliye together.

5. Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanka is a superstar on television, and she also began her career as a contestant on this reality show but was evicted very early. Post that, she was seen in Zee TV's most successful show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. She got much more success and stardom from the serial Yeh Hai Mohabaatein as Dr Ishita.

5. Sharad Malhotra

Sharad also was a contestant on this show, and post his stint, he was seen in Zee TV’s successful show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. Right now, he is ruling the television screens with his performance in Naagin Season 5. Today, he is one the most well known and popular actors of television.

6. Ankita Lokhande

Ankita is a superstar on television today. The actress as a crazy fan following. Post her stint in the reality show, she rose to fame with her performance as Archana in one of the most loved serials, Pavitra Rishta. Just a year ago, she made her Bollywood debut in the movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

7. Shraddha Arya

Shraddha was the first runner-up of the show, and she was seen in several advertisements and Bollywood movies like Nishabd alongside Big B. She was also seen in many successful television serials and currently is ruling the small screen with her performance as Preeta in Kundali Bhagya

8. Abhishek Avasthi

Abhishek is best known as Rakhi Sawant’s ex-boyfriend. He was also as part of the show. Post his stint, he couldn’t make it that big but is still a known name in the entertainment business.

9. Naman Shaw

Naman is also a well-known personality in the world of television and began his career as a contestant on the show. After getting evicted, Naman was a part of various successful shows like Kasamh Se, Kasturi, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay (season 1). Right now, he has taken a break from the television industry.

10. Yuvika Chaudhary

Yuvika was one of the finalists of the show and a very popular contestant. Post the show, she has done many successful movies such as Om Shanti Om alongside SRK and Toh Baat Pakki with Tabu. She rose to fame with her stint in the Bigg Boss house (season 9), and she is happily married to television heartthrob Prince Narula.
