Producer Rashmi Sharma’s Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein on Zee TV has managed to grab eyeballs in the last couple of weeks by churning out some super masaledar drama. The show has managed to gain good numbers and has emerged as one of the top rated ones on Zee TV. Soon viewers will see some new faces entering the soap to further entice the audience. Yes, we are talking about Guddi Maruti and Menka Lalwani. Guddi and Menka will play the role of mother and daughter, respectively. In the show, Mrs Kaushik’s family has just recovered from the shock after learning the truth about Anamika’s vices (Jyotsana Chandola). Now, these two new entries will further spice up the plot. Guddi Maruti will essay the role of Padmavati aka Paddy, who will be Mrs Kaushik’s (Vibha Chibber) childhood friend. She and her two daughters will reside in India but they will throw in a bluff of returning from abroad. One of her daughter’s role will be played by Menka Lalwani. Menka was also seen in Baa Bahu Aur Baby (Star Plus). When contacted Guddi Maruti, she confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I have already started shooting for the show. It’s like catching up with old people as I have done Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat with the same production house earlier. There is a nice comfort level. It is a cameo and an interesting character to play.” Menka remained unavailable for comments.
