MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi is known as the "king of relationships", not just for the strong bonds that he shows on-screen, but also how his heartwarming shows leave an everlasting effect on the audience. In fact, two of his shows which are doing wonders on the telly quickly became the audience's favourite because they have so beautifully mirrored the society.
While his Marathi debut "Aai Kuthe Kaay Karte", which went on-air in 2019, has been the number one show amongst all the Marathi channels, his "Anupamaa" is ruling the TRP charts amongst all the Hindi GECs. The former show is inspired by Bengali TV show "Sreemoyee", and soon after its success the producer decided to make the show in Hindi too and called it "Anupamaa".
Both the shows are based on women and the struggles they face in their households, how they forget themselves while taking care of their families, how they never get appreciated for what they do and the efforts they put in, and how they are criticised for even the smallest mistake that they make. Rajan Shahi in his own unique way has shown every Indian household and through his lead characters has also answered many unanswered questions of the society, like stree-dhan, eve-teasing, and extramarital affair, to name a few.
While both the shows are doing extremely well, their lead characters Rupali Ganguly, who is seen as Anupamaa in "Anupamaa", and Madhurani Prabhulkar, who plays Arundhati in "Aai Kuthe Kaay Karte", also admire each other. Madhurani has often visited the sets of "Anupamaa" and both the actresses have showered each other with praises.
With such beautiful and heartwarming stories, Rajan Shahi is not just ruling TRP charts, but has also won the audience's hearts. Hats off to him for bringing to us such simple stories in the most unique way possible.
