MUMBAI: Actress Shruti Sharma, currently seen as ChamCham in the ongoing colors show 'Namak Issq Ka' opens up on her wish to portray Rekha ji on screen. The actress who is currently garnering praises for taking up a character which exemplifies 'Women should not be judged on the basis of their profession'.
Moving on, when asked about one biographical film she would like to star in, to which she says "I woud love to play Rekha ji on screen, if ever there will be a film made on her life I would be more than privileged to put my efforts in to resonating her on-screen".
When she was asked the reason behind her willingness to do so, to which she says "Her life had many layers. And the way she fought through all the odds and emerged out to be the star she is, is very inspirational to all the women out there who wish to bring in a change and are trying to make their presence register in the minds of people". Certainly just like Shruti, people from all walks of life adore Rekha ji not just for her on-screen performances but also for the achievements she had in her life.
On the professional front, Shruti is best remembered for shows like Gathbandhan, Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka, Nazar 2 etc. Apart from TV, the starlet is all set to enter the silver screen with her next film titled 'Pagglait' co-starring Sanya Malhotra which is slated to release early this year!
