I would never completely make a shift from TV to films - Pooran Kiri

Pooran Kiri
The shift from TV to films is becoming easier these days, with actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Ayushmann Khurrana and many others climbing up the popularity charts with their big screen ventures. Now it is time for Pooran Kiri to make the plunge with Ram Gopal Verma’s next venture, Satya 2. The actor who has earlier been part of serials like Savdhan India on Life OK, Hum Hai Bajrangi on Big Magic and few films down the South has been assigned the role of an ACP in the film. Commenting on his experience working with Ram Gopal Verma, the talented actor said, “It was a great learning experience working with Ram Gopal Verma. He would re-take shots till the sequence met perfection and if a shot was incorrect, without getting very irritated, he would retake it and make actors feel comfortable and guide them so that they can perform better.” Having shot for almost 35 to 36 episodes of Savdhan India and acted in Tamil films, the talented actor expressed his love for television industry saying “Look, majority of people stay connected to serials more than films. Not that films are bad to opt for, but television gives you an opportunity to work continuously unlike films where you might be caught in the public eye by doing 2 to 3 films. I like doing films but I would never completely make a shift to films from TV.” So why is it that Pooran mostly does negative characters? He laughed out saying, “I love doing negative roles as it suits the way I look and carry myself around. But apart from that I would really like doing a comedy show.” Pooran is also a part of Vikram Bhatt’s next Hate Story 2 and is also in talks for few projects.
