Mumbai: Sony TV’s popular daily soap 'Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai,' is currently in such a phase that a lot is happening in the show. The drama set in the 90s’ will take a time leap. Post the leap Sameer (Randeep Raii) will shift his base to Delhi along with his step father (played by Sandeep Rajora).
In the upcoming episode, a new character will be introduced in the storyline that will play an integral part in Sameer and Naina (played by Ashi Singh)’s love story. As the viewers already know that Sameer’s maternal grandfather (Kiran Kumar) passed away before the leap, now the makers will introduce his paternal grandmother in the show.
Indian actress and former model Kitu Gidwani has been roped in to play the character. Dadi, as she would be called in the daily, will have grey shades and will be negative in nature. Her resentment towards Sameer will form the catalyst in the upcoming episodes.
With 'Yeh Un Dinon,' the 50-years-old actress will come back on the TV screens. She was last seen on TV in 2006’s series Kulvaddhu. Gidwani, is still best remembered for her role in Swabhimaan (1995) and Air Hostess (1986).
The actress has started shooting for the show since 6, March. “I’m enjoying the show, especially playing a negative character. I’ve always loved working with Shashi and Sumeet (the producers of the show), the Fashion fame actress said, without divulging any other information.
The talented actress is known for her impeccable acting chops. Her nuance performance and experience will surely escalate the feel of the series.
With Dadi’s entry new drama will unfold in the show that is helmed by Shashi-Sumeet Productions.
