MUMBAI : Asha Sharma, a veteran actress who has appeared in numerous TV shows and films, famous for her role in Kumkum Bhagya, has passed away, as it was announced by CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association) on their official Twitter (now X) handle this afternoon.

While there was only speculation earlier, CINTAA confirmed the rumour today afternoon by expressing sympathy to the actress' family on Twitter. The tweet said, "#cintaa expresses its condolences on the demise of Asha Sharma."
While there it is official that the actress has passed away, the reason of her death is still unknown.
When talking about her roles, she was last seen in Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush while she was well-known for playing a mother and grandma in films and TV. She is very much recognised for her role in serials like Kumkum Bhagya, Mann Ki Awaz Pratigya, and Ek Aur Mahabharat and has contributed in a number of major tv serials and movies like Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and many more.
