MUMBAI: Earlier this month, Maniesh Paul had tested positive for coronavirus. He took to his social media to inform his fans about contracting the virus.
Maniesh, who has now recovered, shared, "I was shooting for Jugg Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh and when I came back, I took a test and got to know I was positive. I only had a sore throat but as a precautionary measure, I keep getting myself tested since I travel and shoot a lot. When I tested positive, I got my family also tested. They were also positive. So, me, my wife and both kids, we all were together at home. That was like a blessing in disguise so we were all taking care of each other.", he said.
Maniesh further revealed that he is better now and added that he followed everything that his doctors asked him to. "My doctors have been really good to me. And I want to tell others that don’t take it lightly, but I would not say get scared either. It is okay if you are positive but also don’t take it like 'kuch nahi hai, theek ho jayega'. Just follow what the doctors are saying, and everything is going to be fine.", he shared.

Maniesh's Covid recovery has taught him to be extra careful. "I have always been careful, but one has to be extra careful.".
He also mentions that his family in Gurgaon was also worried. "My mother was really worried and she wanted to be with us. She would video call me every day and cry saying, 'Main aa nahi paa rahi' - you know how mothers are! But jaise hi report aayi that we were all Covid negative, then it was a celebration there also.", he said.
