MUMBAI: Many television shows that were launched amid much fanfare were unable to engage with their audience for a longer period. And, amidst the lockdown, a few shows were shut, which barely kept any room for the audience to build a recall value. Have a look.
Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 4 featured Nia Sharma, Vijayendra Kumeria, and Jasmin Bhasin. The storyline of this supernatural show revolved around Brinda (Nia) and her mother Manyata (Sayantani Ghosh) who are on the path of seeking revenge for the murder of Brinda's father by the Parikh family. Despite Brinda and Dev's jodi being loved by the audience, Naagin 4 got axed during the lockdown.
Pavitra Bhagya
Aneri Vajani (Pranati) and Kunal Jaisingh's (Reyansh) show, Pavitra Bhagya was premiered in March. The show had low TRP's and with immediate lockdown post the show went on air, it barely got a window to create space in the hearts of the audience. With continuous falling TRP's, the show is reportedly going off-air.
Sanjivani 2
Sanjivani 2 was the second season of the famous medical drama, Sanjivani (2002). The new season aired in 2019 and featured Mohnish Behl, Sayantani Ghosh, Surbhi Chandna but couldn't spread the similar charm as Sanjivani. Mohnish, who played Dr. Shashank, quit the show as he thought there wasn't much that his character brought to the table, and after a few more episodes, the show went off air.
Nazar 2
Starring Monalisa and Sheezan Mohammad, the show went off air during the lockdown. Show's producer Gul Khan tweeted, "Sad but true ... Nazar to go off air now ... feels like it was just yesterday it had launched ! TEAM NAZAR what an amazing job you guys did ! The most loving team of actors and technicians and writers I ever worked with ! Thank you, all of you for this wonderful journey!"

Vidya
Vidya was an educational drama that featured Meera Deosthale and Namish Taneja in leading roles. The show had intrigued the audience for a brief period of time but struggled to make it to the top 10 of the TRP list. It had an abrupt end due to the lockdown.
