Post resistance comes acceptance, but then one needs to give that much time to the audiences when we talk about them accepting a new concept on TV. However that wasn’t the case with Colors’ Mrs Pammi Pyarelal (Playtime Creations).
Here, the makers tried offering something new to its viewers by getting in a fresh concept but it took a nosedive as the channel planned to pull it off-air in just two months of its run.
“How do you conclude that a show is successful or not in just two months time?” exclaimed the veteran actress Usha Nadkarni better known as Damini Fauzdar aka Dadi.
The news of the serial going off-air has hit her too and she went on to express the same with Tellychakkar.com. “In my entire acting career this is for the first time that a project is shutting at such a note. I never experienced something like this, and this makes me unhappy.”
She further went on to add, “I feel bad for the spot boys and the lighting dadas who will lose their jobs now.”
Ask her who broke this heartbreaking new to her and she replies, “I heard it on the sets and later our producer Hemal Thakkar told me that 30 September 2013 would be the last day of our shoot.”
So what went wrong according to her? “Definitely the time-slot, nobody reaches home by 7 pm to watch a show.”
Will she miss it? “Yes, I will as I was enjoying shooting with the team.”
But, then it’s time to move on….The show airs its last episode on 5 October 2013
