Post Jhalak, I plan to concentrate on films: Pooja Banerjee

Pooja Banerjee
Despite all her hard work and sacrifices, Bengali beauty Pooja Banerjee unfortunately got eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 (Colors). Evidently the actress is disappointed as she had given the reality show her sweat and blood. “My last performance on Jhalak was definitely my best so far,” says Pooja with a hint of disappointment and adds, “I have a fan following so I know that they all voted for me but I am sure that others voted more.” Though Pooja wanted to make it to the finals, she is proud of her achievements on Jhalak. “I reached only halfway in the competition but I am proud of myself. I managed to get back from the bottom two in spite of being in the face-off thrice,” states Pooja. Post her elimination, Pooja has already started missing Jhalak terribly. “I miss almost everything on Jhalak. I am taking back with me all the memories right from day one. I’ve grown as a dancer on this show and the judges’ comments will stay really close to my heart. When I came in the face off for the second time, Remo (D’souza) sir said, ‘I am sorry because you’re a good dancer’. Madhuri (Dixit) used to say, ‘you’ll be back’ and Karan (Johar) sir too supported me. It was because of them I could push myself so much. I am already missing the contestants, judges…almost everything associated with the show.” Pooja also doesn’t regret quitting Mahadev for Jhalak. “I do not regret any of my decisions ever for I firmly believe in the saying, ‘whatever happens, happens for the best’. I quit Mahadev because I couldn’t give time to two shows and I didn't want to do injustice to any.” Will she get back to daily soaps now? “Firstly, I need to shake off the Jhalak hangover after which I will start looking out for movies. I plan to concentrate on films hereon,” reveals Pooja. Here’s wishing Pooja a lot of luck for her filmy endeavours.
