Rajan Shahi's show to compete with Balika and Jhansi

Rajan Shahi’s third show Chand Chupa Baadal Mein on Star Plus has been in the making for some time now. Shahi was in Simla recently to hunt for an appropriate location and now the latest news is that, his new show will be pitched against Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Jhansi Ki Rani (Zee TV) in the 8 pm slot from June 28. Our source says, “We have found a few scenic locations in Simla and we are planning to shoot some initial episodes there, as this story will have a backdrop of Himachal Pradesh. It is a love triangle out of which one boy and a girl has been finalised. Neha Sargam and Abhishek Tiwari are playing the leads and rest of the cast is also relatively fresh. As far as competition is concerned we will have to face it but since our story is different from both the shows, everyone will like it.” Chand Chupa Baadal Mein is replacing Sajan Ghar Jana Hai, which failed to gain good numbers compared to other shows on Star Plus, so the channel has decided to pull it off. Meanwhile it is going to be a tough competition for Chand Chupa as both Balika Vadhu and Jhansi are doing well at this moment. In the past two weeks Balika Vadhu regained its number one position after Jagdish’s marriage track, while Jhansi too just introduced the grown up Manu (Krratika Sengar). Therefore the response to Shahi’s love story is eagerly awaited.
