Rajesh Khera is the new 'Betaal' on TV

Versatile and seasoned actor Rajesh Khera has done it all!! After playing the gay designer Maddy in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, and the cross-dresser Sanam in Aasmaan Se Aage, the man was recently in the news for his transgender role of a brothel owner Maharani in Uttaran. Now, he will don a new avatar, that of Betaal for Creative Eye Limited’s mytho cum fantasy based show Singhasan Battisi. Yes, there were reports of Shaleen Malhotra, Arhaan Behll, Abhaas Mehta and Sehban Azim being approached for the prized role in Singhasan Battisi’s weekly series on Dheeraj Kumar’s mesmerizing tales of Vikram Aur Betaal However, it is Rajesh Khera who has now walked away with the role!! As per sources, he will be the new Betaal on TV. Formalities have been worked out with the actor, and he will start shoot soon. We tried contacting Khera, but he did not respond. We dropped a message to Producer Dheeraj Kumar, but did not get a revert till the time we filed the story. Watch this space for more updates..
