Read to know why Maitrayee does not use her surname…

There are people who love to flaunt their names with surnames. 

There are people who prefer to be referred by their surnames.

And also, there are people who prefer not to use their surnames and reasons of it are of course varied.   

One actress, who belongs to the third group is Maitrayee, who is currently seen in Colors Bangla’s Ki Kore Toke Bolbo. 

At a recent press conference when we asked about her surname, she smiled and said, “I prefer only Maitrayee.”

Then she humorously added, “Actually, by using surname, neither I want to upset my parents nor my in-laws. That’s why I prefer only my name ‘Maitrayee’.”    

Interesting reason, Maitrayee!
