MUMBAI: Shaleen Malhotra is one of the most loved actors who has consistently given some strong performances throughout his career, starting from 2011 with Adaalat, a courtroom drama serial that starred Ronit Roy.
The actor was last seen in Checkmate, a Hungama series. However, he was very much loved in Vanshaj, a Sony SAB serial where he played a strong character and garnered a lot of love.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, while talking about Shaleen’s co-star, Sharad Kelkar, Shaleen revealed a surprising story/trivia about what led him to his first dubbing project.
Shaleen Malhotra said, “So we were doing a show ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’...and Sharad bhai came up to me and said, ‘Tu dubbing karta hai kya?’ maine kaha, ‘Nahi bhai, abhi tak toh nahi ki’ ‘Karega kya?’ Maine kaha ‘Haan, kar lunga’ So cut to ‘Udishry’ which 2025, I was dubbing in the studio for a film, there are a lot of films in South that I dub. So I was dubbing for a film and suddenly Sharad walks in the studio and he’s like ‘arey, tu ho gaya shuru?’ Maine kaha ‘aapne bola tha awaaz barbaad nahi karni chahiye.’ So that is how we still connect…”
Shaleen also added, “There’s a lot of respect that we still have for each other, there’s a lot of love that we always give”.
