Shekhar Suman puts his directorial debut on back burner for Movers and Shakers

Shekhar Suman has been entertaining TV audiences for a really long time now. Be it Dekh Bhai Dekh or his latest show, Movers and Shakers, this actor who has a career span of almost three decades, has tickled the funny bone of the viewers. Currently, he is seen as a host in SAB TV’s Movers and Shakers 2. Incidentally, Shekhar is making his directorial debut with Heartless, a medical thriller that stars his son Adhyayan Suman opposite Giselle Monteiro. However, to be part of Movers and Shakers, he is not much involved in the movie now. “I wanted to be part of this show as the audiences just love it. Furthermore, the flick will move towards completion even if I am not actively involved in it,” he reveals exclusively to Tellychakkar.com. The writer of Madhur Bhandharkar’s Page 3, Nina Arora has been working on the script and screenplay and the dialogues have been penned by Niranjan Iyengar. The father-son duo (Shekhar and Adhyayan) has already worked on four to five songs with a new music director Gaurav Dagaonkar. “I am really excited about the film and its one of its kind a very fresh and refreshing concept. The shooting will start from May 2012.” Coming back to Movers and Shakers, this veteran actor feels that this talk show is witnessing its share of success. “With guests such as Shatrughan Sinha, Kader Khan and Anupam Kher, the series has clicked with the audiences. We are trying to bring in many more interesting celebrities for the future episodes.” He further informs that he would love to be part of both fiction and non-fiction shows, “I am open to television offers; it is a very diverse and I enjoy being a part of it. As of now, I am immensely happy with Movers and Shakers,” he ends with a smile.
