MUMBAI: This news may break the hearts of many fans of Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who are currently playing the lead pair on the popular show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. The famous jodi will not be part of the show in the near future. The duo will make an exit from the show in October and new faces will be introduced.

According to several reports, Shivangi and Mohsin will be making an exit from the show by October first week and new actors will join in. The makers have already done a lot of experiments with their characters and now, want to start a new storyline. Hence, the decision has been made.

Shivangi and Mohsin joined the show in 2016 and in no time, gained immense popularity. Their chemistry made them one of the most celebrated television couples. However, now their journey of five-and-a-half years will come to an end. However, the show which started in 2009 will continue to air with a new storyline.

A few days back, media reports suggested that Mohsin Khan would quit the show as a generation leap had been planned and he was not willing to play the role of an elderly parent. After this, fans showed their disappointment on social media and also went on to suggest Shivangi Joshi to quit the show.
