Solhah Singaarr's lead unvieled

After a number of fresh faces being launched on the tube recently, Sahara One has a new kid on the block. Akangsha Rawat, the budding actor from Delhi who has bagged the lead role in Solhah Singaarr as Meera has been staying in the city of dreams for the past two years pursuing her studies in advertising and marketing. Akangsha has done theatre, ad films and music videos (for Parikrama rock band and Mika) back in Delhi. Just one month of trying her luck in the entertainment industry she landed up with her first big break with the channel.
"I play this vivacious, energetic and naughty daughter of the family but at the same time she is a big rebel. And it's her journey from being a 19 year old to a matured Meera. Also the show is about a mother-daughter bond and just like Meerabai in the show Meera is devoted to her mother," smiles Akangsha who gets along famously with Sudha Chandran on the sets. The actor claims to be similar to the on screen Meera to a certain extent. "I am similar to Meera till her life changes. I am naughty and can be a rebel for a cause at times just like Meera on screen," points out the pretty actor who didn't want to take up a regular nine to five job so decided to be a part of the television industry. So we ask her if she has had any funny incident in the one month she has been shooting. "There was a death scene and all of us were supposed to look serious and cry. The dead man's duplicate would start laughing the moment he'd see us crying so that way we'd all be in splits each time we'd be told to get serious," laughs Akangsha. Akangsha Rawat for now is happy with television and ad films and is not too keen on taking up Hindi films. Here's a fresher who knows her mind well.
