Hello readers!!! I am Soumya Seth and people know me as Navya from Star Plus’ show Navya.
I live with my mom, dad, one younger brother and sister in Mumbai. I like to spend time with my family and friends.
I was born on 17 October 1989 in Banares. I studied in St John High School there till the 6th standard. Then I came to aamchi Mumbai as my dad shifted his business to the metropolis. After coming here, I completed my schooling and college from Rithambhara college, Juhu.
I always wanted to became a Radio Jockey or help my dad in his jewellery business. I can’t do a sales job, where you need to cheat and lie to people. Acting is the platform where you don’t need to lie. I was born watching daily soaps. Before getting into television, I had done Reliance Power Advertisement.
I want to share an interesting fact. We all know about the very famous show on Star One, Geet Hui Sabsi Parayi. The role of Geet was played by Drashti Dhami (now in Colors’ Madhubala). But guess what? I went to audition for the role of Geet and even got selected. However, at the same time I also had the role of Navya in my kitty. So, I chose Navya over Geet.
I am happy the way my fans loved me as Navya. I am overwhelmed with the response I have received from the masses.
When the soap ended, like everyone, I was also left heart-broken. But as they say, life goes on.
Enough about work…let’s talk about my personal life now. Well…I am a very simple girl. These days I am chilling and cooking. I can cook makke di roti, upma, and other Chinese dishes. I am a big time foodie. I also love eating chocolates. Other than cooking, I love dancing, singing, painting and hugging mom early in the morning. I also watch television when at leisure. I like to watch Satyamev Jayate and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, specially the new girl, Pihu. She is so cute and adorable.
My best moment of life was when I won New Talent Awards for the Best Actress in Lead role. It’s conducted by Tellychakkar.com.
Lastly, I would like to thank all my lovely fans for their love and support. It feels great when I see lovely messages on Twitter. Love me and have a rocking life ahead. Cheers!!!
