Vivek Bahl to move out of Sony?

Vivek Bahl who is presently holding the post of Chief Creative Director, Sony Entertainment Television has over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. The man came on board to take care of the overall programming of the GEC in the year 2012, after Ajay Bhalwankar left in June 2011. We now hear that Vivek is on his way out from Sony, and is apparently serving his notice period. Rumour mills have it that Vivek will be winding up duties by 31 March 2013. Vivek during his stint with Sony has been the creative mind behind the launches Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage (Sphere Origin), Hongey Judaa Na Hum (Shri Adhikari Brothers) and the recently launched shows Amita Ka Amit (Swastik Pictures), Anamika (Trishula Productions) and Dil Ki Nazar Se.. Khoobsoorat (Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd.). Unfortunately, Love Marriage.. and Hongey Judaa could not register great ratings on the TRP charts. Though Anamika and Amita Ka Amit opened with decent numbers, the shows cannot be termed as ‘sheer success stories’ when it comes to their ratings. Vivek, before joining Sony, had been a part of Viacom 18 and even Star Plus. When contacted, Vivek Bahl refuted the news saying, “No such development.
