Anupamaa: Adrija Roy shares her views on replacing Alisha Parveen as Rahi on the show – Exclusive

Anupama is one of the most successful shows on television and recently it made headlines as Alisha who was essaying the role of Rahi was replaced overnight and Adrija Roy was casted as the new Rahi.

MUMBAI: Anupamaa is one of the most loved serials on television and is number one on the TRP charts, as the storyline is gripping and relatable.

One of the main reasons the show is so successful is because of the camaraderie and good bonding among the co-stars, which is seen behind the scenes of the serial.

These days the show is grabbing headlines as Alisha Parveen who essayed the role of Rahi was replaced overnight.

The actress took on to social media and confirmed that she hadn’t quit the show but was replaced overnight and she wasn’t informed about it and the news was a shock for her too.

TellyChakkar was the first one to report that Adrija Roy was the one chosen to play the lead in the show and she replaced Alisha as Rahi.

Just a few days ago the photo shoot of Rahi and Prem’s love story circulated on social media and the pictures became viral.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Adrija and asked her views on replacing Alisha in the show.

To which the actress said, 'I am not here to replace anyone; I have just come to perform my job; the casting was completed after she was replaced, and I had no idea she had been replaced or where she was placed because I had not been told. I was simply told they were looking for someone, then Rajan Shahi called and chatted with me. I only heard the channel and the production house's choice, and I don't know anything else.

She also stated, ‘Earlier, who was playing Rahi I don't know what happened between the channel, production, and her, but I want to move with a lot of positivity. I don't want negativity around me, so I'm not disturbed by the issue surrounding the replacement’

Adrija Roy is a well-known actress of the television industry and she has a good fan following.

She rose to fame with her stint in the serial Imlie and then was seen as a lead in Ekta Kappor’s Kundali Bhagya.

Well, now the fans are excited to see Adrija in Anupama as the new Rahi.
