MUMBAI: Gashmeer Mahajani is one of the most versatile actors of television today.
While he is an established face in the Marathi film and Television industry, he soon made a mark into the Hindi television space with Imlie and within no time, he won over the hearts of a zillion fans!
In conversation with Gashmeer, he spoke about how Imlie is a different show when asked how the audience feels that Imlie is like old wine in a new bottle. Speaking exclusively with Tellychakkar.com. Gashmeer mentioned, “You are not making a biopic. If you are making a love story, then there can be an extra-martial affair or college romance or platonic romance or few others. There are only 6-7 premises of love stories that can be explored what are you going to show beyond that? What I would say the old wine is cool in a new bottle.”
Furthermore, he elaborated, “Stories are always going to be the same. Their presentation and final nuances are going to differ. There are a set of stories that is going to repeat. The new bottle is the actors you have in the new generation who add their flavour to the character and create and make the story unique. In 60's if some other actor has done it so he had lend his personality to it that was unique to him but if I am doing it today then it is different for me because I have given my personality to it. Though the premise is the same the story isn't the same at all.”
Well said Gashmeer! (Also Read: BREAKING! Anchal Sahu to play Bondita in Barrister Babu)
