Ankit is featured in the role of Rannvijay, an affluent individual. Rutuja Bagwe plays the prominent part of a farmer's daughter opposite him.
Rutuja, who comes from different origins and viewpoints, is shown in the promo riding a bike with a swagger and projecting a bold, self-assured attitude before smoothly switching to her hard work in the field. While doing her chores, she receives word that the groom's family is in town. After that, Ankit Gupta arrives wearing casual clothes. As he gets out of his car, he is shocked to learn that Rutuja is the one who is going to be his future wife.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Ankit opened up on his role in the show and revealed some exciting details about his character.
He shared, “I am glad that I have got to be a part of shows which belong to different cultural backgrounds. First Udaariyaan which was north based and now ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor’ which belongs to a Maharashtrian background.”
He further added, “Most of our crew is Maharashtrian. When I saw it, I told my director that I do not know Marathi and he told me that we are making a nation wide show catering to Hindi speaking masses and it is not entirely a Maharashtrian show. There are quite some dialogues which I have learnt and will be seen mouthing it.” (Also Read: Ankit Gupta talks about the mistreatment that Krishna Mukerjee went through on her show; reveals if he would do multiple shows at one time - Exclusive)
