MUMBAI: Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over time, the type and platform of content changed a lot but people still wish to go back to television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

There have been a lot of times when television shows have been inspired by or conceptualized in a film. Here are a few examples:

Naagin

Sridevi's movie Nagina served as the model for Ekta Kapoor's television series Naagin with Mouni Roy. The movie we saw during the 1990s had a novel idea and won people over. Naagin didn't completely flop on television, but its plot still failed to surprise the viewer with its storyline.

Badho Bahu

The &TV show’s plot was drawn from a Hindi film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar and so was the poster. The show's premise was a direct parody of the movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Rytasha Rathore and Prince Narula served as the show's two primary protagonists.

Dil Se Dil Tak

The movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke served as inspiration for the television show, and the show's poster makes this clear. Rashami Desai, Jasmin Bhasin, and Siddharth Shukla all starred in the programme. The show's plot reflected the same plotline that the film did.

Do Hanso Ka Joda

Shalin Bhanot and Shubhangi Atre's television show Do Hanson Ka Joda was inspired by Anushka Sharma's debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The show's run on television lasted no longer than eight months.

Love You Zindagi

The producers of this Star Plus programme sought Imtiaz Ali's input before adapting the hit film Jab We Met for television. The on-screen chemistry between Kareena and Shahid could not be replicated by the show. Pavitra Punia and Siddharth Shukla appeared in the fictional daily show.
