Style awards seem to be shadowing Shabir Ahluwalia these days. First, he won the Style Icon of the Year award at the recent Indian Telly Awards, an honour that was soon followed by another style award in Malaysia, where he had gone to shoot for Fear Factor. The Nach Baliye anchor apparently won the race as well, but prefers to keep mum about it as he is under a contract with AXN, on which the show will be aired.

"It felt damn good to receive the Style award as I have been getting awards for various categories like the best supporting actor and in the negative category thus far. I think I wear whatever I feel comfortable in and that is what people like, perhaps," muses Shabir whose unkempt and messy look seems to have worked in his favour.
Shabir has his hands full with Karmic Konnection for Star One (to be launched by end of January 2006) in which he plays the lead role (Mukul), an investigator of paranormal activities, a show that's on the lines of X Files. The actor is also getting loads of film offers from all kinds of filmmakers but is in no hurry to sign on anything that comes his way, besides he is also getting many offers to anchor shows after Nach Baliye, he smiles.
