MUMBAI: The episode starts with Jethalal finally getting good sleep after having sleepless nights. But someone rings the doorbell at four in the morning. Jethalal and Tapu wonder who is at the door so early in the day. He is surprised to see Bapuji at the door.
Bapuji, who had been to his native place, returns after spending substantial time with his friends and relatives. He hugs Jethalal for exposing a corrupt politician like Sevaklal.
Jethalal thanks Bapuji for inspiring him to take such a step, else he would have been content with the bulk order as a businessman.
Later in the morning, Tapu prepares tea for his father and grandfather. Babita and Iyer pay a visit to present a can of rasgullas specially ordered from Kolkata for the Gadas. Jethalal is happy to see Babita and is elated with her gesture. He thanks her for presenting him rasgullas every time someone she knows arrives from Kolkata.
Jethalal asks Babita and Iyer to join them for tea, but Tapu reminds him that the couple prefers coffee. Even Bapuji asks Iyer and Babita to stay back for breakfast, and they oblige. That's when Jethalal receives two phone calls on the landline, and he identifies the callers even before they reveal who they are. Jethalal tells them that he can identify people just by hearing their voices. Babita is impressed, while Iyer waits for an opportunity to prove him wrong.
A while later, Jethalal receives another phone call. A man and his wife speak with him, but he fails to recognise them. They don't reveal their identity but inform Jethalal about their plans to join them for dinner.
He wonders who they are and how will he prepare food for them. Bapuji decides to cook, but Jethalal doesn't want his father to take the trouble. He thinks of an alternative.
