MUMBAI: Zee TV's show Kumkum Bhagya is all set for another generation leap.

The show will see the current cast making an exit and new actors stepping in to take the storyline forward.

As per the reports, Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra are roped in to play the lead roles.

Many well-known actors will also be seen in the show who will be essaying pivotal roles.

One of them is actor Vijhay Badlaani. The actor who was last seen in Jagriti - Ek Nayi Subah is all set to be a part of the show.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Vijhay spoke bagging the show and also shared some details about his character.

After Jagriti, once again you're playing a pivotal role of a Villain in Zee TV's long-running show Kumkum Bhagya. What do you have to say about bagging this show?

I am thankful to everyone, Ekta ma'am, for thinking that I will justify the character. It is not a negative character, but a positive character with situational grey shades. But I am happy that I will be working again with Balaji after Dharampatni. I am playing a very important role in the show. It feels good that people recognize your hard work and it pays off, so, ultimately thanks to God.

We saw a different side of you in Jagriti, what new will the viewers get to see in Kumkum Bhagya?

The show Jagriti and the character Amol are very close to my heart. It was one of my best performances on television. I am thankful to God. My character won't be really negative but he loves his family a lot. So, in case something wrong happens in his family, he will stand with them like a rock. But yes, it all depends on the story.

But I am told that my character will be shown extremely loving and if he sees something wrong happening, he will take a stand. So, it is a mix of positive as well as something of situational grey.
