MUMBAI: Samridhii Shukla, Pratiksha Honmukhe, and Shehzada Dhami portrayed the main roles when the fourth season of the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai premiered. Pratiksha Honmukhe portrayed Ruhi, and Shehzada Dhami portrayed Armaan. However, everyone was taken aback when they got eliminated from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai overnight. Shehzada and Pratiksha were criticized for their lack of professionalism on-site. Now, Rajan Shahi has revealed yet another startling fact regarding Shehzada in a recent interview.
In an interview with the popular news portal, Rajan Shahi said that unprofessionalism was the real reason behind their elimination. He disclosed that Shehzada Dhami's attitude on the sets was not right. He recalled that there were a few episodes during the Mahabaleshwar shooting schedule when he realized that Shehzada's attitude was not right. Rajan Shahi also shared one shocking incident when Shehzada Dhami asked him to change his assistant.
It so happened that Shehzada appeared late in front of the camera for the shoot. When asked, Shehzada said he wasn't informed by the assistant. This did not go down well with Rajan Shahi as he said that the assistant has been working with the team for 20 years and he knows when what happens on the sets. So Shehzada started yelling and asked Rajan Shahi to choose between him and the assistant of 20 years. It was the last blow and the makers had to take the harsh decision.
Rajan Shahi admitted that nothing changed after several conversations were had with the actor. The producer added that Shehzada Dhami's performance fell short of expectations. Rajan Shahi also mentioned Shehzada's desire to be called ‘Sir’ whilst on set.
Rajan Shahi also makes the startling claim that Shehzada Dhami would prefer to argue that he doesn't have time and that the script should be read aloud to him rather than recall the conversation and screenplay. He was fired because of his conceited behavior.
According to Rajan Shahi, Pratiksha Honmukhe's dismissal was due to a different reason from Shehzada Dhami's. Garvita Sadhwani has replaced Pratiksha Honmukhe, and Rohit Purohit has replaced Shehzada.
