Anas, apparently under the effect of alcohol lost his composure and touched Deepika inappropriately, leading her to slap him.
The incident sent ripples in the industry, for it’s not every day when two leading stars of Indian television get into a physical confrontation.
Post the slapgate, Deepika and Anas refrained from talking to the media. However, at the recent 1000 episodes completion celebration of Diya Aut Baati, Tellychakkar.com caught up with Anas.
When we asked him about the ugly spat, he said: “Controversies are a part of the industry. Yeh sab hote rehta hain.”
When we asked him to further elucidate, the actor said: “Let it be. Everything is settled now, so why dig up older issues. All’s well.”
