MUMBAI: Rubina Dilaik has carved a niche for herself in the television industry. The diva, who has been part of several projects, is one of the most popular faces on the small screen. She was earlier seen in Bigg Boss 14. She emerged as the winner of the reality show. Rubina managed to beat singer Rahul Vaidya, who became the runner-up.
The actress has a massive fan following. Her fans showered a lot of love and support on her.
Post her Bigg Boss journey; she rejoined her show Shakti, where she essayed the role of Soumya. The show went off air a couple of months ago.
She was last seen in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where she was seen showcasing her dancing skills
The actress gave great performances and impressed the judges with her dancing skills and emerged as the finalist of the show.
The show has come to an end, and now, TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and her choreographer Sanam and asked him about the quality he likes in Rubina, and about which was their favourite performance in the show.
What is the one quality that you like about Rubina Dilaik?
Sanam : The best quality about her is that she is very punctual and she never looks at the time of going back home. She is very open to criticism. We have never bitched about her, and the kind of respect she has earned is commendable. I know her through my girlfriend Abigail Pande but never got to bond with her much till today. I can now say that I am a much closer friend of Rubina’s than Abey is, and I am glad I found a friend like her.
Recently, Abhinav said that he doesn’t give you advice about dancing since he doesn’t know anything about it. What do you have to say about it?
Sanam : See, he is not a professional dancer and doesn’t know anything about the craft so he doesn’t advise. Like during one of the rehearsals, he was waiting down, and I told Rubina to tell him to come to the rehearsal hall but he didn’t come. But I am planning to make Rubina and Abhinav dance and I will share it on social media.
Rubina : Abhinav didn’t come as he doesn’t like to dance, nor does he know anything about it. I respect that space of his.
Which is your favourite performance from the dancing reality show?
Rubina : All the performances were very special and it’s very difficult for me to pick one. The one dance performance that I couldn’t do was hip-hop, as Sanam thought that it wouldn’t suit me.
Sanam: That is one style that I thought wouldn’t suit her and hence I didn’t give it a try.
Well, there is no doubt that Rubina was a strong contestant on the show, but unfortunately couldn’t win the show. But she won the hearts of the audience.
